"Experts" are shills more often than not
This book applies critical thinking in a world that has been indoctrinated by industry and \"experts\"for hire.
Fascinating in light of current revelations
This book helped me, when I was working on my Masters, to formulate a pattern that exists with polluters: deny there's a problem; deny the problem is important; deny they had anything to do with the problem; blame the victim; seek government immunity from prosecution.
The Death of Capitalism
Capitalism - market economy - free enterprise - these are the jewels in the crown of civilization which, since the renaissance, have brought unprecedented wealth, prosperity and freedom to large parts of the world.
Excellent!
A most excellent and throught provoking book guaranteed to enrage the reader.
Patterns Give Away Deceit
The bulk of this book is given over to detailing the consistent patterns big money has used to manipulate the flow of knowledge from those who have it to those who need it.
finally!
There isn't enough that I can say about this book so all I'll say is read this book.
A needed antidote to corporate spin
Rampton and Stauber's excellent book \"Trust Us, We're Experts\" shows how the corporate PR industry produces a steady stream of content that is intentionally designed to mislead by its masquerading as science or fact.
Okay, So Now What Do We Do?
The most revealing aspect of this book is the fact that many scientists are being paid to give \"evidence\" that conforms to the wishes of corporations, as part of the vast PR industry and its efforts at saving corporate profits.
Thank the authors, buy this book!...
