The symphonies are superb but the sound quality of this CD leaves much to be desired.

While, unfortunately, these CD's do not include the entire Beethoven series Toscanini broadcast in 1939 with the NBC Symphony Orchestra, it does contain all the symphonies, the Egmont Overture, and all three Leonore Overtures in sound light years superior to any I have heard with this material.
